2009 some year

I dont know what it is with 2009 but this year jsut is not the year. I found out today that a women I ahve been in hospital alot with died yesterday from respiratory related problems. It is very sad but i look on it that she is no longer suffering and is at peace whereas before she was suffering and struggling to breathe.
Getting the news shocked me greatly and I am deeply upset and my thoughts are with her family. But the news also drew my attention to the fact that this year I ahve lost 6 friends to asthma and respiratory related diesease and none of them were over 50 actually make it 45. Which is so sad to think that there is so much money being pumped into research yet still these young lifes could not be saved.
Heaven has gained more angels this year and I hope it will gain no more in the coming furture.

I am a nurse and passionate about all sports but due to brittle asthma I find myself on the sidelines more and more often. I use my experience with Brittle Asthma to raise awareness about asthma and how change needs to be made. I volunteer as a PPI lead for the Asthma UK Applied Research Centre who aim to reduce asthma deaths, reduce hospital admissions due to asthma and encourage good asthma control. I try not let asthma stop me. This is my life with asthma charting the highs and lows and different experiences due to having brittle asthma. It has shaped me as a person and dictated what I do in life but I won't let it stop me.
